Capcom released sale figures for the recent remastered releases for the Resident Evil series. This includes Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Evidently, the three titles together have shipped 1.5 million sales worldwide. Furthermore, North America alone contributed to 1 million of the sales.

Also, it's good to mention that this doesn't mean the series has sold through that many copies, only that the company has shipped those units to retailers which is still something to celebrate.

The developer released a statement below:

Capcom would like to thank all the fans that have celebrated the series’ 20th anniversary by playing these releases. We hope you all look forward to a new era of survival horror in the terrifyingly intense Resident Evil 7 biohazard when it hits on January 24, 2017 for PlayStation 4 (with the included optional PlayStation VR Mode), Xbox One and Windows PC (Steam and Windows 10 Store).
