Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-, the official Metroidvania 2D game celebrating the 30th anniversary of Record of Lodoss War, got its Early Access version on Steam dated. Team Ladybug announced via a new trailer that the Early Access will launch on March 13. The trailer is included below.

If you haven't heard of Record of Lodoss War before, it's a novel franchise born from Dungeons & Dragons, written by Ryo Mizuno, which heavily influenced Japanese fantasy stories. Pretty much every single elf, dark elf and similarly designed characters in anime and Japanese media, in general, are inspired by Record of Lodoss War's Deedlit and Pirotess, both appearing in -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-.

Ryo Mizuno published on August 1, 2019, the first Record of Lodoss War novel volume since 2007, titled Record of Lodoss War: The Pledged Diadem 1. He commented on the volume back then, and how it'll take him at least a year to release the sequel. You can read about that and check more details on -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- here.

Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-  was announced back in April 2018 and is developed by Team Ladybug, the cool people behind Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue and Touhou Luna Nights. I'm personally really excited and will definitely try out the early access. I haven't played any Record of Lodoss War game since the one on Dreamcast too, so I'm hyped.

Update: Playsim announced the launch date has been moved from March 13 to March 12 at 17:00 JST.
