Take-Two, parent company of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption developer Rockstar Games, has registered the domain name "RedDeadOnline.com." Something that is especially interesting following Rockstar's announcement today of Red Dead Redemption 2, which will have "a brand new online multiplayer experience."

The registration was spotted by Twitter user lashman and a WhoIs search lists the owner as Take-Two. It currently redirects to the Rockstar Newswire.

It's worth noting that domains can easily be registered by anyone.  In fact, domain registry usually boils down to a publisher wanting to lockdown a domain from others. Therefore, the fact that RedDeadOnline.com has been registered is by no means a concrete confirmation of its existence. Still, following the unprecedented success of GTA Online, and the announcement that Red Dead Redemption 2 will have a new online experience, this domain could have traction.
