Red Dead Online Update Offers Rewards for Crafters and Hunters

Crafters and hunters take the spotlight this week as Red Dead Online's latest update has rewards for both.

Fans of crafting and hunting in Red Dead Online are in for a bit of a treat.

Rockstar Games revealed in a blog post that this week’s update will provide gamers with a chance to earn some in-game goodies by simply crafting items at a few specific locations in the world. On top of that, fans can also earn a free reward by just logging in. That’s right, players can earn 5X Gun Oil and 50 Small Game Arrows just for jumping into Red Dead Online between now and February 1st. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

Crafting any item at a campfire will earn players three collectibles to trade with Madam Nazar. In addition to that, Gus Macmillian appears to be in a good mood this week as crafting anything in his store will allow you to receive a free hat (below rank 15) and the opportunity to purchase any pair of boots for 50% off.

Any articles of clothing crafted at Gus’ Store can be acquired for 40% off and Gus’ Trinkets and Improved Bow variants can be obtained for 30% off. To add a bit of mystery to the mix, purchasing any pamphlet will also grant you a treasure map “that will surely lead you to a valuable haul,” according to the post.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the finest games released last generation, holding an impressive 97 out of 100 on Metacritic and earning a 10 out of 10 from us at Dualshockers. In fact, one fan likes the game so much that they completed it over 30 times. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC.
