It's no surprise that talent lurks in every corner of the internet, but when something truly extraordinary rises from the ashes - you're blown away. This was my reaction to seeing this incredible artwork, created by freelance Concept Artist Tom Garden, which features a man riding a horse to the sunset in the Wild West. The artwork, which Garden says is inspired by critically-acclaimed title Red Dead Redemption 2, is titled "Follow the Trail."This entire piece just blows me away, it's actually one of the most impressive pieces of art I've seen in a while. Of course, upon seeing this creation I immediately made this my laptop wallpaper and my Twitter header image--because I'm that kind of person. Tom Garden seems to be a really talented artist, and when I looked through his portfolio, it seems he has a knack for video game inspired art.On his ArtStation page, you can see a wide variety of pieces, including a Metal-Gear-inspired piece of artwork that Garden created over a year ago, which is equally as impressive as the rest of his work. He really is someone who I'd love to buy a print from, which is why I'm puzzled as to why he doesn't sell these artworks - they are insanely good.I originally found Garden's artwork through Rockstar Games themselves, who recently shared his Red Dead Redemption 2 art on their social media pages. It wasn't until looking further into it that I realized the art is actually 3 months old. I don't personally know the time in which he began working on this piece, but if he created this in a short span of time then it increases the level of which I am impressed.
The artist thankfully released a YouTube video to his channel in which he showcases a short Behind-the-Scenes look at how the piece was made. You can watch it below, or alternatively, you can view Garden's entire portfolio, which is almost therapeutic to browse.
