May 14, 2022

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have high hopes for the future again as a credible leaker claims the game will receive a next-gen update in the future!

Unlike Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 didn’t receive much love from Rockstar Games after launch, and this has already enraged the game’s community, especially those who have spent significant time in Red Dead Online.

With the release of Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy The Definitive Edition and Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced and Expanded Edition, now all eyes are on Rockstar Games to announce the next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2, and maybe make fans even happier with a remake or remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption as well as Red Dead Revolver.

That being said, the horrible state of Red Dead Online in the case of updates and new content makes it hard to believe that Rockstar Games has any future plans for looking back at this game ever again. But a recent tweet from a credible leaker might change your mind!

Star Wars Eclipse Leaker Claims That Red Dead Redemption 2 Next-Gen Update Is Coming

AccountNGT, a leaker mostly known for their information on Star Wars Eclipse and Hogwarts Legacy, recently responded to someone who asked about whether Red Dead Redemption 2 would be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the future. The leaker simply confirmed that the update is coming, but didn’t mention any specific date.

Unfortunately, after the tweet went viral, AccountNGT deleted their response as well as all other tweets and replies. It still remains unknown why the leaker have cleared all the tweets on their page, but it’s probably due to DMCA and legal issues of leaking such information. (You can still check out the tweet at ScreenRant)

Now, it has already put Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online fans in doubt whether thy shall still remain hopeful for the future of the game, or just leave it for good. This is surely something you never know as it’s pretty hard to figure out Rockstar’s plans for the future.

The only thing that we know about Rockstar Games is that they already started the development of the next Grand Theft Auto title.
