Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Finds Their Horse “Cursed” After Horrific In-Game Accident
A bit like Roach from The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2‘s horses can also have a mind of their own. As the old saying goes “As stubborn as a mule”.
With 19 different breeds to choose from in Red Dead Redemption 2, picking out one that has the right temperament to suit your gameplay style can be a tricky decision.
Of course, looking after your horse throughout the game should be one of your top concerns, but accidents do happen. Unlike real horses, RDR2’s horses come back from the dead whenever they die in battle or decide to yeet themselves off of a cliff.
But sometimes…just sometimes, you never know what kind of horse you have until a horrific situation happens that sees it coming back from the brink of death looking like something from a horror movie.
Enter: Freddy “Horse” Krauger of the Read Dead Redemption world.
The “Cursed” Horse of the Read Dead Redemption 2
Over on Reddit, user Creative_Word1148 posted about how their horse ended up setting itself on fire. Although they didn’t go into details about how the horse ended up in flames, they did, however, describe what happened afterwards.
Naturally, the horse was on the edge of death resembling a crispy piece of bacon but just before it ended up making its way to horse heaven, Creative_Word gave the sizzling steed a Horse Revive tonic which brought it back to life again which may not have been such a great plan.

Unfortunately, the poor horse’s body remained covered in terrible burns and sores where you can even see its muscles and stringy veins.
Even though the image is pretty hard to look at, it would make for one bad-ass horse to ride around on like something from horsemen of the apocalypse.
What’s even more unfortunate, is the horse ended up going back to its normal, shiny and sleek boring coat losing all of its cool factors but I guess a happy ending was in order for the poor thing.
