Thanks to a listing by Microsoft, now we know what you'll get if you pre-order the standard edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar.

Today Microsoft updated its listing for Red Dead Redemption 2, adding a list of bonuses that will be granted to those who pre-order the game.

According to the listing, pre-ordering will grant you a “War Horse,” the “Outlaw Survival Kit,” a “Cash Bonus” for the Story Mode, and GTA$500,000 to spend in Grand Theft Auto Online. On top of that, those who pre-order by July 31st, 2018, will also get an exclusive Treasure Map for the Story Mode.

Reading between the lines, there’s a little detail that piqued my curiosity. “Story Mode” is written as a title, with uppercase initials. This may or may not mean anything, but it could indicate that it’s the actual title of the campaign, as opposed to another mode which could be a full-fledged separate online experience like Grand Theft Auto Online. Do keep in mind that this is just my personal speculation, so take it with the customary grain of salt.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th, 2018. If you want to see more about the game, you can check out a recent batch of screenshots, the official box art, and the latest rather spectacular trailer.

If you want to pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2, you can also do so on Amazon.
