With E3 2019 just around the corner, the weeks leading into the show are naturally the time that we see plenty of leaks when it comes to potential announcements, with one of the latest indicating that we might see a new entry in the Red Faction series that might be announced very soon.

Over on NVIDIA’s website for its Ancel tech, a listing appeared for a title named Red Faction Evolution among the games that are confirmed to support its photo capture capabilities. Naturally, this has led to speculation that a new Red Faction game may be on its way to being announced in the coming weeks, or most likely at some point during E3 2019.

This of course is all to be taken with a grain of salt, as no formal announcement has arrived just yet for a new Red Faction game from the series’ developer Volition or publisher THQ Nordic. There’s no knowing just yet whether or not a new Red Faction game may be in the pipeline just yet, but with last year’s release of Red Faction Guerrilla: Re-Mars-tered Edition on consoles and PC (with the Switch version to come this summer), it wouldn’t be too farfetched to predict that a new title might be on the way.

The last main installment of the series to release was Red Faction Armageddon in 2011, but the title ended up being a disappointment both critically and commercially after its launch. At the time, THQ seemingly was uninterested in developing future installments of Red Faction after Armageddon‘s disappointing returns, but with THQ Nordic having numerous titles under development at the moment, it could be possible that they are willing to give Red Faction another chance to shine.
