Every Regirock Weakness in Pokemon GO

When compared to Registeel, Regirock has far more weaknesses.

It’s Rock typing means it takes extra damage from Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and Water-type moves. This means there should be plenty of good counters for you to use.

Best Counters for Regirock Raids

If you want to bring a Mega Pokemon to Regirock raids, there are a total of three that you should consider. They are the trio of Mega Blastoise, Mega Venusaur and Mega Gyarados.

Following that, there’s a handful of Pokemon from each type that are recommended.

Your best Steel options are Metagross and Dialga. Ground is Groudon, Garchomp and Landorus. Fighting is Conkeldurr and Lucario. Water is Kyogre and Swampert and, realistically, there are probably no other Grass-types worth bringing.

Here is the best moveset for each of the that are Pokemon listed above:

  • Mega Blastoise – Water Gun/Hydro Cannon
  • Mega Venusaur – Vine Whip/Frenzy Plant
  • Metagross – Bullet Punch/Meteor Mash
  • Dialga – Metal Claw/Iron Head
  • Groudon – Mud Shot/Earthquake
  • Garchomp – Mud Shot/Earthquake
  • Landorus – Mud Shot/Earthquake
  • Lucario – Counter/Aura Sphere
  • Conkeldurr – Counter/Dynamic Punch
  • Kyogre – Waterfall/Surf
  • Swampert – Water Gun/Hydro Cannon

Regirock can be taken down in groups of three or four trainers, provided you have a selection of high level versions of the Pokemon listed above.
