Relationship Standing Affects Team Synergy in Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Tekken head Katsuhiro Harada disclosed a very interesting new detail about Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in a recent interview. Apparently, teams consisting of two characters who like each other will trigger the ‘rage’ mechanic faster than less harmonious teams. That basically means that friendly teams will deal more damage than teams made out of enemies or rivals. Harada-san used father son combo Heihachi and Kazuya for an example, saying that because they have a very rocky relationship, they accumulate rage rather slowly.

This sounds like a very cool mechanic. Hopefully Jun and Asuka like one another, because that will be my team. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be available this September.
