During its financial conference call for investors related to the second fiscal quarter 2015, Electronic Arts just announced the release windows for the next Battlefield and for Star Wars: Battlefront.
The two games will launch respectively during Q3 FY 2017 and Q3 FY 2016, which correspond to the holiday seasons in calendar year 2016 and 2015.
According to Electronic Arts, the launch of Battlefield 5 (assuming that the title will be named like that, as it was just mentioned as the next Battlefield game) in 2016 will give Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline players more time to enjoy the titles.
It was also mentioned that together with the launch of Star Wars: Battlefront the year before, EA will have one AAA shooter each year.
If you’re wondering about the Titanfall franchise, information about its future was requested during the Q&A session, but the response was that Electronic Arts has an ongoing relationship with Respawn but “we have nothing more to announce at this time.”
