Remedy Entertainment Expanding into Cooperative Multiplayer With Its Northlight Technology

on September 17, 2016 3:32 PM

Both Game Director Mikael Kasurinen and Creative Director Sam Lake have announced that Remedy Entertainment will begin building their proprietary Northlight technology to expand into cooperative multiplayer.

The decision comes from their partnership from Smilegate on Crossfire 2 as well as a desire to stay competitive in the games business.

Remedy wants to take their “exciting stories, memorable characters, believable worlds and cinematic action,” and expand them to include cooperative multiplayer. To do so they will be building the Northlight technology, the engine which powered Quantum Break on Xbox One and PC.

So with that in mind, we have opened a position for a Lead Network Programmer, who will be at the center of developing and shaping the multiplayer technology and features of Northlight.
