Capcom has announced that the three upcoming what if stories coming to Resident Evil 2 as free DLC will begin rolling out on February 15. Each storyline will focus on one unfortunate individual in Racoon City who did not survive the t-Virus outbreak. You can check out some new screenshots down below.

No Time To Mourn, Runaway, and Forgotten Soldier will be the names of each separate story. As of right now, we do not know which of the three DLC stories is coming first but Capcom did reveal small details about what each storyline will revolve around. Last week we found out that one of the short stories will focus on the Kendo Gun Shop Owner, Robert Kendo. It seems that we'll also be playing as the mayor of Racoon City's daughter and a soldier. If I had to guess, Forgotten Soldier will likely revolve around someone from Hunk's squad.

That's not the only DLC coming to Resident Evil 2. Capcom also mentioned that two retro costumes will be released on the previously mentioned date. Both costumes will give Claire and Leon their old skins from the 1998 version of Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil 2 launched last Friday to widespread praise. Our own reviewer, Logan Moore, gave the game a remarkable 9 out of 10Resident Evil 2 also quickly became Capcom's second highest played game on Steam with a concurrent player base peaking at around 55,000. Additionally, the title hit the number one best-selling spot in the U.K. over the weekend. Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi mentioned that a remake of the third game, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis would begin with the fans.

Resident Evil 2 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
