To coincide with the beginning of Gamescom 2018, Capcom today unveiled a slew of new screenshots for the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2.

These screenshots notably all feature Claire Redfield, who is the second protagonist in the game other than that of Leon Kennedy. While all the footage and images that we saw of Resident Evil 2 during its initial reveal at E3 2018 featured Leon, it seems that Capcom has chosen Gamescom to begin showing off more of Claire.

Most of these images show us Claire's updated character model, but we also get quite a few different looks at her in action against zombies. We also get one of our first looks at Sherry Birkin, a young girl that Claire finds within Raccoon City in addition to the monstrous G-form of William Birkin.

In other Resident Evil 2 news, if you happen to be at Gamescom this week, then be sure to check out the game for yourself. Capcom has already previously announced that the game will be playable on the show floor, so do yourself a favor and be sure to play it if you can.

You can find all of the new Claire screenshots below. Resident Evil 2 is set to launch early next year on January 25 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you'd like to pre-order the game ahead of that time, you can head over to Amazon to do so right now.
