The Resident Evil Chopper built by Savage Cycles was unveiled Friday night just footsteps away from Capcom's Dark Void party at CES 2010. I have been following the build since it was put up on Capcom Unity's site, and it's really awesome to see it come to fruition.

re-chopper-1

When comparing it to the design sketches, it is actually uncanny to see how close it is to the sketch. There are tons of little details that pay homage to the Resident Evil series. There are first aid sprays and mixed herb vials, along with a bag of red and green herbs. There's a shotgun and devious looking knife. It looks like something straight out of the 3rd Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

The headlight piece is my second favorite part of this chopper as it just looks menacing. In theory, those bars shouldn't really affect the light output but it will be interesting to see how bright those headlights are at night. My favorite pieces are the the covers on the front and rear tires. The shielding just looks like something from a post-apocalyptic world.

re-chopper-3

This final picture is the chopper with the team of craftsmen from Savage Cycles. It was built by hand, and taken care of all by Savage Cycles, no ordering frames or painting out of house there. These guys are the real deal. You can see more pictures of the chopper below at the Capcom Unity site.
