Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is an upcoming Japanese animated series based on the video game franchise of the same name. That’s why everyone familiar with the RE games is eager to see what the upcoming Netflix series has to offer.

Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who worked on several RE games, is producing Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Also, Quebico is animating the series under the supervision of Kei Miyamoto.

In terms of story, the upcoming animated series is set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. Moreover, you’d be delighted to know that Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, the main protagonists in Resident Evil 2, will star in the series.

When is Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Coming out?

Release Date

When writing this article, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 8th, 2021.

You can catch all the episodes of the upcoming show exclusively on Netflix. So, there’s no better reason to take the streaming service’s subscription if you don’t have it already.

Release Time

Netflix doesn’t officially reveal the release time for every upcoming movie or series. However, the streaming service always updates the platform with new releases at midnight PDT (Pacific Timing). So, it’s safe to assume that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness would also release at the same time.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Synopsis

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness starts with American federal agent Leon S. Kennedy visiting the White House to investigate some secret Presidential files. However, things turn dark when a horde of zombies attacks Leon and the SWAT team.

On the other hand, Claire Redfield starts her own investigation after encountering a mysterious image, which appears to be hinting at the infection.

Claire visits the White House “to request the construction of a welfare facility.” There, she meets Leon and shows him that strange drawing. And instantly, Leon realizes that there is some connection between the recent events and this drawing.

Meanwhile, two zombies outbreak in the country shocks the entire nation.
