Last week, we reported that Capcom was looking to have some in the Resident Evil Ambassador program come playtest a new game in the series that is currently in development. At the time, these playtests would seemingly only be available for those in Japan, but it seems that this is no longer the case.

In a new report from Biohaze, Capcom has now started reaching out to those in the United States to come participate in these tests of the new Resident Evil title. Much like those that are happening in Japan, you must be a member of the Resident Evil Ambassador program in order to be considered. Simply applying also doesn't guarantee that you'll then be picked to participate. Additionally, you'll be required to then set up your own travel to and from the event if you're chosen.

Capcom has multiple sessions slated for late in September for those in the U.S. to come and demo this new game. The first will be in Los Angeles, California, and will take place on either September 20 or 21st. The second will then be in New York City, New York, and will transpire on either September 23 or 24th. Further details and information will likely be divulged if you happened to be chosen by Capcom to test the new game.

As I hypothesized last week, it seems most likely that this mystery project will be that of either Resident Evil 8 or Resident Evil 3 Remake. Past rumors indicate that it's more likely to be the latter of these two rather than the former, but we obviously don't know this for certain just now. Hopefully, we'll find out just what this title might be soon.

If you're interested, you can find the email down below that Capcom has been sending out. And if you want to sign-up to be an RE Ambassador, you can do so on Capcom's website.
