Ahead of the start of Tokyo Game Show later this week, Capcom today released the first official footage of the upcoming Resident Evil game Project Resistance.

As we anticipated after some of the game's first initial images leakedProject Resistance will indeed be a multiplayer Resident Evil title. As seen in the trailer, four different characters are fighting off various Resident Evil foes such as a zombie and a licker. Upon the trailer's conclusion, we even see the arrival of the menacing Mr. X. All the while, it seems as though someone behind the scenes is pulling the strings and causing these attacks. Perhaps this person will be one of the player characters, meaning that Project Resistance will technically be a PvP title? A 4v1 type of game where some players are trying to fight off monsters while another potentially controls them would be interesting.

At the moment, we don't have a ton to go off of. Capcom has simply described Project Resistance by saying, "A brand-new team-based survival horror experience is coming." Luckily, we should be learning more later this week. More information was promised to be shared during Tokyo Game Show, which is slated to kick-off two days from now on September 11. So if you're eager to learn more about this upcoming game, that information should arrive soon.

In the meantime, you can check out the initial trailer for Project Resistance down below. Stay tuned later this week as we'll definitely have more to share with you about the game later on.
