Jill Valentine, the star of Resident Evil 3 herself, has joined up with the motley crew of Survivors that reside in Resident Evil Resistance. The former S.T.A.R.S. agent is likely to immediately become most player's first choice when they load up the game, and for good reason. Outside of the best-named character in gaming Martin Sandwich, Jill is the only character with some name recognition. Plus, you have to figure Capcom is going to give her some excellent tools for zombie fighting. Of course, we've known Jill was coming for weeks now; however, her release did come with

That's right Resistance fans, the next Mastermind is Resident Evil 3's biggest human baddie Nicholai Ginovaef. We did, of course, see some fan favorites in the game's original launch, but Nicholai seems like a solid inclusion. Of course, he's not my first choice, but he'll do. And, with several more free updates on the way, it would be surprising if we don't get some showstoppers.

For now, fans have plenty of time to get familiar with Jill's Resistance gameplay. She has access to a few cool abilities, including the option to swap to the powerful Samurai Edge or rocket launcher for a limited time. She also has her game-changing dodge from RE3, which will certainly come in handy. On top of that, she has a few useful abilities that up her damage output. All told,  Jill looks like the great character everyone expected she'd be.

Resident Evil Resistance is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Jill is already out in the wild, so go give her a try if you have the game.
