The Resident Evil series has had its fair share of cheesy moments. From its notorious movie franchise to "Jill sandwich," the series isn't afraid to make light of a zombie outbreak. So, when YouTube user GreyGhost Mike reimagined one of Resident Evil's cheesiest moments in its history as a sitcom intro, it is no surprise how well it works.

The video used is actually the live-action intro of the original Resident Evil video game for PSOne; this scene was then remade as an animated cutscene in the Gamecube remake which got rid of most of the cringe from the original. Honestly, the original is just as hilarious as this reimagining and is also worth viewing.

The song featured is the theme from the sitcom Perfect Strangers. Running from 1986 to 1993, the show was part of ABC's original TGIF lineup. The long-running and successful sitcom Family Matters is a spin-off of Perfect Strangers focused on Harriette Winslow, her family, and their neighbor Steve Urkel.

In other Resident Evil related news, Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 were the best-selling game last month in the United States. A free downloadable update was recently released that adds three new scenarios. The Ghost Survivors update will allow you to play as gun store owner Robert Kendo, special ops agent Ghost, and the mayor's daughter Katherine Warren.

If you want to play the latest from the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 2 is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out our review to see what we thought of the remake.
