There's still not much we know about Resident Evil Village other than the fact that it's coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC next year and Capcom doesn't want you calling it Resident Evil 8. And while there isn't really any revelatory information that has come about today, a new survey related to the game has now been released and it features some rather interesting questions. If you aren't familiar with these surveys, they essentially contain a bunch of inquiries related to the Resident Evil franchise asking fans what they'd like to see more of in the future. Capcom does these brief questionnaires quite often and most of the time, the topics center around how likely fans are to purchase the next installment in the series (in this case Village) along with how many games they have purchased from the franchise in the past.In this latest survey (which you can find linked in the tweet below), Capcom did end up asking if fans would be interested in a demo for Resident Evil Village down the road. This is curious mainly because with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Capcom released a demo for that game not long before launch. While simply posing the question to fans doesn't mean that it's bound to happen, it does seem to show that the idea is being considered.

The other most interesting question that is posed in this RE Village survey deals with the platforms that the game is coming to. Capcom asks which next-gen console potential buyers of Village might be most interested in snagging later this year upon release. While this might seem like a pretty straightforward question, it was one of the potential answers that Capcom provided that was rather interesting.

The survey listed a digital-only version of the Xbox Series X as one of the potential purchasing options when it comes to next-gen platforms later this year. While the answer made sure to specify that no such thing has even been announced yet, the fact that it was included in the first place continues to add credence that the rumored Lockhart model of the Xbox Series X is surely real. At this point, the second SKU for the platform is the video game industry's most open secret. Rumors indicate that Microsoft will be unveiling the platform properly in just a few short months in August.

According to Capcom, we should be hearing more about Resident Evil Village later this summer, so stay tuned until then to learn more. And if you'd like to see the specific questions from the survey mentioned in this article, you can find screenshots of them below.
