Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine Zombie Cosplay Is Terrifyingly Brilliant
What do YOU see when you look in the mirror?
As we begin to make our way into Halloween next month, there’s nothing like settling in at night and playing a spooky game. Thankfully, PS now has you covered if you fancy something scary on the run-up to one of the nation’s favorite holidays by adding Resident Evil 7 to its service. Xbox’s Gamepass has also followed suit by listing a host of games including Resident Evil 7 Biohazard to its membership this month too that will be sure to get you into the mood just in time for All Hallows’ Eve. We will also be sure to see more frightful cosplays in the next month or so but to celebrate it a little early, check out this fantastic Jill Valentine zombie cosplay by Angelinazelda.
You may have seen Angelinazelda‘s adventures previously on DualShockers when we highlighted her Death Stranding‘s Fragile cosplay where she morphed into one of the best characters from Hideo Kojima’s popular open-world apocalyptic title that sees protagonist Sam Bridges, a porter for a company known as Bridges, tackle “beached things”. This time, Russian born Angelina takes on Jill Valentina from the Resident Evil series, and more notably Resident Evil 3 remake. Angelina is able to pull off her wounds using a home-made silicone which is made with a foundation to match her skin tone. She then obtains her hollowed zombie looking eyes by painting on some eyeshadow and those veins you see, well that’s simply done by the magic of eyeliner or a hint of body paint. Although, Angelina does state that the veins on her right hand are digitally applied since it’s a little harder to paint them on since she’s a right-handed person but in fairness, her make up is spot on for someone who only digitally enhanced a small position of their cosplay and the side by side picture below of Angelina (left) and the game’s Jill Valentina (right) is hard to differentiate.
Adding some final touches to the rest of her body and her clothes, Angelina applied a little more eyeshadow but apart from that, she only had to tweak the shadows and the backdrop to get the ultimate zombie Jill Valentine look. Make sure to check out Angelina’s other cosplays over on Instagram where she takes on Nier: Automata’s 2B, more Jill Valentina cosplays, and of course, Death Stranding‘s Fragile.
To see Jill Valentine channeling God of War‘s Kratos, check out another Resident Evil fan who does a brilliant render and also, while you are here, check out Resident Evil‘s Ada Wong cosplay, too. If you are eager for some more information on Resident Evil Village, the wait could very well be over this month. Capcom has confirmed that they will be sharing more information on the game at this year’s Tokyo Game Show which begins on September 23. Just like The Witcher and HBO’s The Last of Us, Resident Evil will be hitting the screens over on Netflix that will apparently be made up of eight, hour-long episodes. The first two of the eight episodes will be directed by Bronwen Hughes whose credits include The Walking Dead so Resident Evil should be a perfect fit for them.
Resident Evil Village is set for a 2021 release date and is confirmed to be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
