Sega announced its Tri-Ace developed RPG, Resonance of Fate, is getting the remaster treatment for Steam and PS4, and will be titled Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition.

Resonance of Fate originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. Its uniqueness lies in its story requiring the players to truly involve themselves to fully understand and its Gun Kata based combats. The battle system can take a few hours to master, but once you do, it reveals itself to be among the most interesting ones ever made in an RPG. Another original feature of the game is the massive amount of fashion customization choices you have for the three main characters.

The announcement was teased a few days ago when Twitter accounts for the game's main characters suddenly became active again.

Another worthwhile anecdote is how the western name, Resonance of Fate, is the original title of the game. The title was changed to End of Eternity for the Japanese release because the staff deemed "resonance" was a too complicated word and wouldn't evoke much to most Japanese gamers.

You can check the game's official site here. You can watch both the English and the Japanese versions of the announcement trailer below.

Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition is scheduled to launch worldwide digitally-only on October 18th, for PS4 and Steam.
