In a recent statement by Electronic Arts, the publisher confirmed that they will continue their co-operation with Lucas Film on Star Wars games by delivering three new projects from the universe in the future, including Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 as well as an FPS shooter and a strategy game.

Although we had almost heard it from any trustworthy insider that a sequel to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is already in the works, an official confirmation is something else!

Electronic Arts shed some light on its upcoming line-up of Star Wars titles in a recent statement, confirming three projects from Respawn Entertainment in three different genres.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 Is Not the Only Star Wars Project of Respawn

A sequel to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order headlines the upcoming titles from Respawn in the Star Wars universe. The project is directed by Stig Asmussen, the man who directed God of War 3 when he was working at Santa Monica Studios.

Furthermore, a new Star Wars first-person shooter is also in the works from Respawn. This is not going to be another Battlefront game. Peter Hirschmann is leading this project. This is supposed to be a story-driven game, but we don't if it would feature a multiplayer section at the moment.

Last but not least, Electronic Arts is also partnering with Bit Reactor for delivering a strategy Star Wars experience. Bit Reactor is an indie developer formed by former XCOM and Civilization developers.

According to Electronic Arts, the development process for all three projects has already begun.

We could probably have our first look at one of these projects at least, during this year's EA Play, though the company has not revealed any plans for holding its annual show in 2022.
