Today, developer Respawn Entertainment announced that it is partnering with virtual reality giant Oculus to make a brand new game for the company’s VR unit, the Oculus Rift.

While project itself is top secret, Respawn did clarify that it will be some type of first-person shooter, but that it will not be related in any way, shape, or form to Titanfall or Star Wars, which are two other franchises the studio is focusing on. The project is meant give players a more realistic combat experience, and is focused on making them actually feel like a soldier.

While other details like the name, pricing, and more have not been released, it was revealed that the game would launch sometime in 2019.

To celebrate the announcement of the partnership, a brand new video was released, which features members of Respawn Entertainment talking about the excitement of virtual reality.

Titanfall 2 is the developer’s most recent project, and was published by EA. The game was released on October 28, 2017, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. We thought the game was amazing, however sales wise the game performed poorly.
