UPDATE: Creator Lucas Pope confirmed that Return of the Obra Dinn will also be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in addition to Switch this fall. You really now don't have an excuse not to play it.

During today's Nintendo Direct, Lucas Pope's 2018 indie darling Return of the Obra Dinn was revealed to be coming to the Switch.

A Switch version of Obra Dinn has previously been said to be a possibility from Pope himself, but today's announcement finally made it a reality. Up until now, Obra Dinn has only been available on PC and Mac, meaning that Switch is the first time it has come to consoles. As of now, a potential release on other console platforms hasn't been confirmed.

If you haven't played Return of the Obra Dinn yet, I really cannot recommend it enough. Even though I didn't play it until 2018 had already ended, it easily is one of the best games of last year. If you enjoy puzzle games in any way, shape, or form, please do yourself a favor and give this one a shot. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Return of the Obra Dinn is planned to hit Switch sometime this fall. We'll keep you posted when we learn more about the game's official launch date.
