Now that reviews are out for Returnal and it's receiving great praise, more people than ever are itching to get their hands on it. However, with a $70 price tag, plenty of PS5 owners are potentially skeptical despite the glowing reviews.

It's only natural that someone might want to try a game out first before preordering or buying it full price. Taking a look at fiascos like the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 might help explain why people might be skeptical of games right at launch.

With the growing price tags of AAA games, purchasing something new has become that much more of a risk. Now that Returnal is coming out tomorrow, people are wanting to see if that risk is worth it.

Is There a Returnal Demo?

Currently, there is no Returnal demo to speak of. It seems like if you're wanting to play the game, you're going to need to buy it outright. It's not entirely out of the question that developer Housemarque would put up some sort of playable teaser for the game, but that seems incredibly unlikely.

Last month, GamesRadar posted a video to their YouTube channel narrated by Housemarque Marketing Director Mikael Haveri that does a deeper dive into what to expect from Returnal than some of the other marketing. If you're still on the fence about buying the game, you can check out the video below.
