Re:ZERO VR Games Announced for PlayStation VR and PC; Starring Rem and Emilia
Japanese developer Gwenka will soon let you be spoiled by Rem and Emilia from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- in Virtual Reality.
Have you ever hoped to lay your head on the lap of the beloved heroines of the anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-?
Soon you will be able to, at least virtually. Japanese developer Gwenka is launching its previously smartphone-only “games” The Different World Life with Emilia by VR and The Different World Life with Rem by VR on PC and PlayStation VR.
The titles basically let you be Subaru and let either Emilia or Rem spoil you. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon, aren’t there?
While the stand-alone PC version is going to be launched on the Japanese download site DLsite tomorrow (October 19th) here for Emilia and here for Rem (the links are still inactive at the moment of this writing), the games are coming to Steam and PlayStation VR this winter.
The price will be 2,160 yen each (about $19 each) for all platforms, and in the gallery below you can see some screenshots.
To get a rough idea of how it works, you can also see a trailer of the Smartphone version, even if the PC and PlayStation VR will have better visuals, slightly different gameplay, wider field of view and head tracking.
Of course, the PC version will be compatible with both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
