Warner Bros. Pictures recently released the much-awaited Space Jam: A New Legacy movie starring LeBron James. Of course, the film features several Looney Tunes characters, but Rick and Morty's cameo was most surprising for several fans.

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, Space Jam: A New Legacy boasts several live-action and animated characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny, and many others.

The movie follows a fictional version of LeBron James and his son Dom (Cedric Joe). The father-son duo gets captured in the Warner 3000 Server-Verse, and to save his son, Lebron must win a basketball tournament against Al-G's digitized champions.

Space Jam: A New Legacy serves as a sequel to the legendary 1996's Space Jam movie. That's why everyone in the community was eager for the release of the sequel.

Sadly, the movie received mixed reviews from the critics, appreciating the film for the animation but criticizing it for being too similar to the original 1996 movie.

Rick and Morty Cameo in Space Jam: A New Legacy

Fans loved to see their favorite Looney Tunes characters back in action. But more than that, Rick and Morty's fans were absolutely shocked to see the duo making a surprise cameo in the movie.

Rick and Morty appear in their Spaceship, and Rick addresses the Tasmanian Devil (Taz) as the "badger thing." He says, "We are done running tests on your badger thing; it turns out his condition is irreversible." Then, they leave Taz with LeBron and takes off with Rick shouting, "He's your problem now, Dum Dum."

Obviously, watching Rick and Morty in the new Space Jam movie was a delight for everyone. That's why fans quickly went on to Twitter to express their feelings about this incredible cameo.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is now available to stream on HBO Max. On the other hand, the fifth season of Rick and Morty is underway, and you can catch the latest episodes on Adult Swim.
