Riot Games has released the next album in their Sessions series, “Sessions: Star Guardian Taliyah.”

Sessions is a Riot Games initiative that seeks to provide copyright-free music for content creators to use without the fear of being hit with copyright strikes.

Their latest release centres around the Star Guardian universe, specifically two of the universe’s latest additions Taliyah and Fiddlesticks.

“Come chill with Taliyah, a young Star Guardian enjoying her day off at the mall. Just watch out for Fiddlesticks, who wants to lure her away from her duties and into a world of daydreams and nicemares.”

This album is the third in the Sessions series, following Sessions: Vi and Sessions: Diana which were released last year. According to the frequently asked questions section of their Sessions page, Riot is planning on releasing more Sessions albums in the future.

“Riot Games Music is committed to continuing to explore the possibilities of Sessions for the long-term, so stay tuned for what future releases have in store.”

For those unfamiliar, Star Guardian is a parallel universe to the League of Legends universe. In the Star Guardian universe, young people are chosen to be cosmic protectors of the stars, like Sailor Moon but League of Legends. This universe has proved incredibly popular with the community since its inception in 2015.

Star Guardian 2022 is an upcoming in-game event coming to League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra and Wild Rift. This event will feature new skins, like for the aforementioned Taliyah and Fiddlesticks, as well as challenges to complete and more.

The trailer Riot Games released for the event features a visual novel type sequence, similar to the Spirit Blossom event League of Legends received back in 2020.

Sessions: Star Guardian Taliyah is out now and the wider Star Guardian 2022 event will commence on July 14.
