Originally launched in the heat of the holiday season, Rise of the Tomb Raider quickly drew critical accolades and success after launch, and now you won't have too much longer to wait before Lara Croft's next adventure in the first DLC expansion for the action-adventure title.

Microsoft Studios announced in a statement to Polygon that the first DLC expansion for Rise of the Tomb Raider, titled "Baba Yaga - The Temple of the Witch," will arrive next week on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016.

The "Baba Yaga" DLC will provide brand new story content to the game's campaign, with the DLC included as part of the $29.99 Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider. No specific details were given on pricing for a standalone option for the DLC, and it was not confirmed if the DLC would release next week for the PC version, which also launches on January 28th, 2016 through Steam.

However, a previous post on the official Tumblr page for Tomb Raider mentioned that the Digital Deluxe edition of the title and the Season Pass would provide owners with "launch day access" to the content: while it's not officially confirmed just yet, it seems more than likely the DLC will also be available on the PC version launching that day, alongside the Xbox One version earlier in the week.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 - the PC version of the title will release on January 28th, 2016, followed by a release on PS4 later this year. The game's first expansion, "Baba Yaga - The Temple of the Witch," will also release on January 26th, 2016.
