There certainly are similarities between the Tomb Raider and the Uncharted franchises, and many see them as rivals in the market, but this often doesn’t reflect the fact that developers of competing games normally respect each other, and appreciate each other’s games.

During the pre-show of the Golden Joystick Awards Rise of the Tomb Raider Creative Director Noah Hughes was asked if there was a game that came out this year that he would have liked to work on. Interestingly, he opted to pay homage to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

“I’m a huge fan of Naughty Dog, so Uncharted 4, I would have loved working on it. “

It’s always refreshing to see developers acknowledging the great work done by their peers. Personelly I loved both Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, so this certainly brings a smile to my face.
