Gearbox Publishing and Hopoo games announced Risk Of Rain 2 will be coming to Switch this Summer 2019. The announcement was made during the Gamescom Nintendo Indie World Showcase. Seeing Summer is well underway now, the Switch port shouldn't be taking too long to get released. The announcement trailer is included below.

Risk of Rain 2 is basically a 4 player roguelike FPS. It's quite addicting and popular, getting over a million sales. Risk of Rain 2 is typically the kind of game which is only fun online with friends,  so getting it on Switch means also dipping on a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, assuming you don't already have one. This might be a deal maker or breaker and you might just want to grab it on PC. Then again's the Switch's portability is a huge argument if you're often in transit.

Risk of Rain 2's latest update, Scorched Acres, launched this June on PC. It's unclear if the content of this update will also be included in the Switch version. If it isn't, we don't know yet either when will it come to Switch.

It's also worth mentioning the very first Risk of Rain was also surprise ported to Switch in 2018.

More info will be coming on August 30 at the Gearbox PAX West Main Theater show.
