As one of the most hotly-anticipated titles coming this fall, Battlefield V will be bringing players back to the front of WWII with more detail and immersion than before, but EA and DICE are also turning their attention to Battlefield titles of the past in a series of events in the coming months.

Over on the game's official forums, EA provided details for its community events leading up to the release of Battlefield V this fall called "Road to Battlefield V," which will provide players of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4 with a host of opportunities to play before the next entry in the series arrives.

Specifically, DICE detailed that all of the expansions for both Battlefield 1 and 4 will be given away for free throughout the summer to owners of the base games, while BF1 players will also have the opportunity to play and earn skins that can be earned and unlocked in Battlefield V when it releases in October.

In addition to the expansions and other free content, DICE will also be providing players with weekly in-game rewards for Battlefield 1 in the form of daily tasks that players can complete to earn additional weapons and skins, Squad XP Boosts, and more.

Battlefield V will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 16th, 2018. For a closer look at what's in store from DICE's "Road to Battlefield V" event, you can learn more at DICE's page for it.
