Roccat Announces New Surround Sound Headset Khan AIMO

Roccat's latest headset, Khan AIMO features a sturdy built, RGB lighting, noise cancellation, a 24-bit integrated sound card, as well as a strange name.

Gaming peripheral manufacturer Roccat announced a new product to its line of gaming headsets this week, the Khan AIMO.

According to the manufacturer, the Roccat Khan AIMO is a RGB lighted headset that promises to produce high-resolution virtual 7.1 surround sound, a 24-bit (at 96KHz) integrated sound card, passive noise cancellation. The Khan AIMO also features memory foam padding to accommodate extended gaming sessions, 16.8 million RGB color lighting engine with effects and presets, noise cancellation, easy-to-use controls, a microphone dedicated to providing crystal clear sound and weighs only 275 grams.

However, Roccat’s biggest selling point for the Khan AIMO, however, is its integrated sound chip, which the manufacturer claims are capable of “easily outperforming onboard audio solutions provided on most gaming motherboards.” That being said, it is a rather bold claim by Roccat, especially when you consider a majority of motherboard manufacturers have placed heavier emphasis onboard audio within the last few years.

Currently, the Roccat Khan AIMO’s product link offers a “Buy Now” feature, unfortunately, clicking the link will produce a 404 error. Despite the official release date unknown, the product will be available for $119.99.

For more information on the product, check out the specifications for the product on its official store page, as well as a few screenshots of the headset.
