Announced on this month's Inside Xbox stream, Rocket League will be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers starting today.

Since Psyonix's competitive vehicle-driven sports game will be part of Xbox's game subscription service, the full game will be available to download. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass members will also get a discount on Rocket League if they decide they want to purchase it.

It was also announced that Rocket League will get Xbox One X support later this year. Typically, this means that it will run at 4K resolution with HDR.

Anyone who decides to pick up Rocket League through Xbox Game Pass will be able to participate in this year's Anniversary Event. From now until July 23, you'll be able to play in an Anniversary Playlist that features the Throwback Stadium, paying tribute to the game's predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.

Additionally, you'll earn Event Balloons that will contain special Anniversary items or can be traded in for a Golden Egg, giving you the chance to collect items from older Champion series crates.

Psyonix has been regularly updating and providing content for Rocket League. Most recently, Jurassic World themed items were added including flags, a T-Rex goal explosion, and the Jurassic Jeep Wrangler battle-car.

Rocket League is available now for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch.
