A few days back, fan-favorite Rocket League made waves when it announced an upcoming physical release in the near future. Not only was that later confirmed today via blog post, but Psyonix attributed the physical edition — dubbed Rocket League: Collector’s Edition — to the hard work of 505 Games. The game is slated for a Q3 2016 release date in mom-and-pop shops.
While Psyonix CEO Jeff Dunham was unable to confirm specifics a few days ago, a handful of details were brought to light on the blog. Specifically that all three DLC packs — Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run — as well as “retail-exclusive goodies” that have yet to be detailed.
Rocket League is immediately available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One — Rocket League: Collector’s Edition will be making its way to the latter home consoles, with no mention of PC release.
