Rocket Slimes Are in the House: Square-Enix Reveals New Title

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is a new 3DS title from Square-Enix, very obviously based around the slimes from the Dragon Quest franchise. Aren’t they lovable? A batch of screens was released today, shortly after the game was revealed for the first time in Shounen Jump this week. It looks to be a cute title set on the high seas with pirates, lots of shooting and booty. Let’s not forget the booty.

You’ll be able to travel around the world on your highly customizable boat, searching for treasure and, naturally, defending yourself from no-gooders. One means of battle is by shooting items at other ships in ship-to-ship combat. Let’s get this straight, no game since Skies of Arcadia has had decent ship-to-ship combat. Take a lesson there, Squeenix. This title is due to release in the Winter in Japan, and I assume possibly come West at some point. Hit the break for the six new screens.
