Rockstar Games Has Extended GTA Online Christmas Giveaway Event Due to PSN and Xbox Live Outage

Rockstar Games has extended the GTA Online ‘Festive Surprise’ Christmas Day gift giveaway after the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live services were plagued with outages for many fans yesterday.

Considering the massive outage, Rockstar found it best to extend the event so that their fans could actually enjoy their gifts including festive new weapons and clothing items, as well as some rare items from past Social Club Event weekends. There has been no word on how long the event has been extended, especially considering that PSN on PS4 is still having some issues. If you can get onto GTA Online, I’d suggest doing it sooner rather than later to make sure you get your free goodies.

GTA Online is the multiplayer portion of Grand Theft Auto V, which you can now play on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Grand Theft Auto V is also set for release on PC next year on January 27th.

Andrew was enraptured by video games at a young age by series such as Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda. A self-proclaimed recovered Dota 2 addict, you can find him enjoying the best games that the PC has to offer. Outside of writing about video games, Andrew enjoys binging Netflix, reading a good book and throwing money at anything and everything Star Wars related. He probably finds your lack of faith disturbing.
