Yesterday was definitely a tough day for Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive. Earlier yesterday, a huge number of work-in-progress gameplay clips has been leaked online from Grand Theft Auto 6, revealing huge information on setting, gameplay, and even protagonists of the game. Now, Bloomberg's reporter claims his Rockstar sources have confirmed that the leaks were real.

According to Jason Schreier, when he has reached out to some of Rockstar sources, they have confirmed that the leaks indeed belong to GTA 6, which makes it the biggest leak in the history of Rockstar Games so far. The sources have mentioned that the footage has been captured from an unfinished and early build of the game, but it remains unknown how old the build could be.

Take-Two Interactive has not officially reacted to the matter, but the company is indeed taking down the leaked footage and clips from YouTube and Twitter.

Based on the information shared by Tom Henderson, the hacker claims that he also has access to the source code of GTA 5 as well as the testing build of GTA 6. Recently, the hacker has asked for an offer from Take-Two Interactive to stop sharing more important and confidential information from GTA 5 and GTA 6.

According to Jason Schreier, the repercussions of this huge leak might decrease the amount of remote working on Grand Theft Auto 6, which could lengthen the development of the game as well. Grand Theft Auto 6 has not been announced officially yet, but Rockstar Games confirmed a few months earlier that the team has started working on an entry of the franchise. It's yet to be seen whether we would see an official announcement anytime soon or not.

The recent leaks from GTA 6 confirmed that the game take place in Vice City. Also, we got to know that the main playable characters are a couple called Jason and Lucia. It falls in line with previously leaked information that the game will follow a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired story. The gameplay clips also revealed a number of in-game mechanics such as car physics, shooting, covering system, and more.
