In a Gamasutra blog, a user by the name of Rockstar Spouse has leveled accusations of mismanagement and deteriorating work conditions at the popular Rockstar San Diego studio. The user makes references to employees suffering from depression with at least one employee admitting to suicidal tendencies due to the stress placed on them with unfair deadlines and bad work conditions. Working at least 12 hours a day, including Saturday, would wear on anyone nonetheless employees facing ever changing deadlines. There are also claims that benefits of the job have been cut, along with the possibility of losing medical insurance, and raises that have not covered the cost of inflation.
I'm sure many of you are thinking "What's all this bitching about? That would be a dream to work there, regardless of conditions!" I think you need to ask yourselves, how many of those employees thought that very same thing. Getting a job there must have been a dream come true, but now that dream is rapidly becoming a nightmare.
