ROW ROW! Two-Part Super Robot Wars Hitting PSP

In this week’s new issue of Famitsu, Namco Bandai Games announces a new Super Robot Taisen game to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. Part one of the two-part Dai 2 Ji Super Robot Taisen Z: Hakai-hen goes on sale April 14 in Japan for 7329 yen. There will also be a collected edition of the two games, though the second title does not yet have a release date.

The roster will feature robot units from a total of 34 different anime series and films including one of my favorite animes ever Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!

Dai 2 Ji Super Robot Taisen Z: Hakai-hen will be a direct sequel to 2008’s Super Robot Taisen Z on the PS2. So far no SRT games have been released on this generation of home consoles but let’s hope this PSP release reminds fans what a great series this is.
