Call of Duty players often talk about what weapon is 'meta' in Warzone, but did we ever think a simple skin could also be 'meta'? The Roze Rook Skin has been ruining games for as long as we can remember, but Season 4 might have finally changed that.

The latest season for both Cold War and Warzone is now live, and in the official patch notes released by Raven Software, a new nerf for the Roze Skin was officially revealed.

Cold War & Warzone Season 4

Season 4 kicked off with a bang, Satellites came hurtling down into Verdansk, Hijacked returned, and Zombies received a brand new Outbreak region and easter egg.

Players have also got a brand new 100 Tier Battle Pass to level up to unlock new Operators, Weapons, Music Tracks, and plenty more cosmetics.

Warzone players can also find new 'Red Doors' scattered around Verdansk which act as a new fast travel system to get around the map. As well as this, new Satellite Crash POIs have been added at Farmland, Bloc 18, Bloc 16, and Gora Bridge.

That's not all, there's even a brand new Dirt Bike vehicle which is now the fastest vehicle in the game.

Roze Rook Skin Nerfed - Patch Notes

As Season 4 went live, Raven Software dropped the official patch notes for Warzone. As expected, there were plenty of changes including some weapon balancing.

What stood out most though, was the supposed nerf to the Roze Rook Skin. Many will know that Roze also received a nerf when Season 3 kicked off, but players failed to notice any actual changes to the skin.

Here's what the Season 4 patch notes said about the new Roze Rook Skin nerf:

What Actually Changed?

So, has anything actually changed with the latest operator nerf?

Well, thanks to

">OpTic Hitch on Twitter, it looks like the skin may have actually been nerfed this time around. The Roze skin now appears to be much brighter, even in daylight, it's clear to see how much paler the tone of the skin is.
