Rumbleverse is the next big free-to-play Battle Royale game coming out this year, and hopefully, we are less than 24 hours away from its release time!

Developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, Rumbleverse is a melee-combat-based brawling Battle Royale experience that will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 11, 2022, at 7 am PT/10 am ET/2 pm UTC/3 pm BST/4 pm CEST. The game will be available for the Oceania players on August 12 at 12 am AEST/2 am NZST. The Rumbleverse release time is the same for all platforms, but keep in mind that the PC version of the game is exclusive to Epic Games Store.

Hopefully, Rumbleverse will feature cross-play between all platforms at launch, which is a massive advantage for the game to keep the matchmaking times as low as possible while allowing gamers to team up with each other on whatever platform they are playing on.

While Rumbleverse launches for free for everyone on August 11, the first season of the game officially begins on August 18, which means you won't be able to progress through the Battle Pass in the first week of launch. That being said, it would be a great period to learn the game and get the hang of combat.

Unlike the currently popular Battle Royales, Rumbleverse focuses on melee combat as the core of the gameplay. During each match, 40 players will drop onto Grapital City and only one player will survive in the end. Players will only have access to basic attacks when they step into a match, but they can explore the city for some special magazines, by collecting which a player unlocks new moves and combos.

As the core rule of Battle Royale games, Rumbleverse will also feature a ring of death, which becomes smaller and smaller as the match progresses. If a player remains outside of the ring for more than 10 seconds, they will be eliminated automatically.

Iron Galaxy Studios, the team behind Rumbleverse, has a good track of working on fighting games. Before Rumbleverse, they worked on the second and third seasons of Killer Instinct which revived the game from its poor situation at launch.
