on June 20, 2012 12:05 PM

Hideo Kojima confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 5 is in the works and being built with the Fox Engine, according to an interview in French magazine IG. Kojima said the game will be heavy on infiltration and is interested in characters that interact with each other, stating Deus Ex: Human Revolution as an example.

Kojima states, “We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.”

Does this mean the Return of Solid Snake? Will the game be a prequel or sequel? No further details were provided but it does allow for some good discussion and speculation. Metal Gear fans looking for some espionage intel will have to wait until more is revealed.
