Rumor: PS Vita Could Be Landing On Shelves As Early As October 28th

A flier from a UK Blockbuster may have some revealed previously unknown information about the PS Vita’s launch date. The flier, which was obtained by IGN, lists both models of the PS Vita (Wifi + 3G) making their way to store shelves on October 28th, in the UK at least. When reached for comment by IGN a Sony spokesperson replied that the company is planning a “phased global release” throughout the holiday season. If you ask me, that sounds a lot like “yes, you are totally right” without actually saying it of course. Some were worried that Sony would not ship the handheld due to supply constraints stemming from the Earthquake in Japan but hopefully this latest report is on the money. In the mean time we’ll be closely watching Sony at the upcoming Gamescom in Germany where I’m sure we’ll be hearing all of the global release dates.
