Earlier this year, indie developer 13AM Games revealed that Runbow, their highly successful co-op platformer for the Wii U, would be coming to both Wii U and PS4 on April 24. Unfortunately, the developer announced today that the release of these versions of Runbow has been delayed in order to optimize the game further.

While it's sad to see these Runbow ports delayed just days before launch, 13AM Games is using this extra time to optimize the game and its performance on both systems. While no new release date was given at this time, 13AM promises that Runbow's PS4 and Switch launch has just been pushed back by "a matter of weeks."

Due to this delay with the digital versions of Runbow on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, the retail Deluxe Edition, which was originally going to release on June 14, has also been delayed. That being said, you can still pre-order the game on Amazon.

Runbow is currently available on PC, Wii U, and 3DS, and will be coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch in the coming months. If you want to see what else 13AM Games is working on, you can check out the announcement trailer for their new platformer Double Cross.
