The monthly server wipe for Rust: Console Edition is set to take place later today (Thursday, June 30), with the latest wipe set to make an exciting change.

Whether you're on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, the latest Rust: Console Edition server wipe is set to add a new variation of the Fishing Village to the map, as well as more maps with the Fishing Villages present in them. This was confirmed by the developers in a recent blog post, with Facepunch Studios stating that they wanted to "make the new monument more common, due to how useful it can be".

Of course, a new variation of Fishing Village isn't all that's going to change in the monthly wipe. If you're eager to know what time the update and server wipe will take place, or you'd like to know more about what the server wipe actually is, here's everything you need to know.

What Is The Rust: Console Edition Server Wipe?

To keep things fair in Rust, the Console Edition not only has weekly wipes but monthly ones too. On the final Thursday of each month, the developers completely reset the official Rust: Console Edition servers to keep all players on a level playing field.

The exact type of server wipe is often random, with some including a complete reset of player blueprints. As well as aiming to keep things fair for all players, server wipes also ensure the continued stability of the game.

What Time Is The Rust: Console Edition Server Wipe Today?

The Rust: Console Edition server wipe takes place on the final Thursday of each month, meaning the next wipe will occur on Thursday, June 30, 2022. The exact time of the wipe should be the same as always, 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 6PM UTC / 7PM BST.

Occasionally, servers are taken down shortly before the wipe. Should you experience any connectivity issues around this time, it's likely just scheduled maintenance for the wipe.
