It's been a long time coming, but survival fans are soon going to being able to play Rust on their home consoles.

The game has been out on PC for a whopping seven years now, releasing in early access all the way back in 2014, before getting a full release in February of 2018.

Following the full release, developers Facepunch confirmed there would be a console version, however, due to COVID and other issues, this was delayed for a prolonged period of time.

Thankfully, we've had the release of the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition and we're now on the precipice of launch for the Standard version of Rust Console Edition. The release date and time has been confirmed, here is all the information you need to know.

Split Release

The first thing to note is that the game is having a split release as there are three editions of the game.

The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions release a few days before the Standard and come with a range of extra content.

Deluxe Edition purchasers gain the "New Cobalt Employee - Welcome Pack" and Ultimate Edition owners will get the Ultimate Welcome pack, Elite Combat skin pack and 1100 Rust Coins.

Rust Console Edition - Standard Release Date and Time.

In terms of the Standard versions of Rust Console Edition, they come out tomorrow, on Friday, May 21.

Xbox reconfirms the Rust Console Edition release time, with the game hitting the platform at 1 am once again. Sony's Storefront also confirms the release time with a countdown that suggests the game unlocks at exactly midnight.

This is likely to mean the game will launch at midnight once again, however, as with the Deluxe Edition, we will be sure to update this post should things change.
